I have a 2003 Cavalier. The horn seems to have a mind of it's own. While driving, sitting, anytime really, the horn will randomely go off on it's own. You tap the horn button and it quits. Sometimes it will be good for a day or so and come back but other days it comes back not 2 secs later.

Any ideas!!! I'm defiantly drawing a blank on this one. Got the fuse pulled until I figure out whats goin on so now I have the privledge of starring at a Service vehicle light now.

Take the airbag cover off and check for any loose connections or messed up wires...only thing I can think of. :dunno: Or maybe check all the wires that are running to the horn itself maybe they frayed or got damaged somehow, once again - :dunno:

I have a 98 Z24 and the horn button itself is actually included in the signal/headlight/cruise control switch to the left of the steering wheel. Have you had any other problems or have you done anything in that area that may have caused the problem that you are having now? There is a small piece of metal that is suspended by a spring, and when that touches a piece on the back of the steering wheel, the horn blows. Check to see if you have something that is making a connection between the two. If it is like my 98 you should be able to get to it all by taking off the ignition cover. Good luck!
