went to my favorite model shop today as they have a 5 - 50% off everything sale. No it would be rude to walk in and not buy anything so I ended up walking out (after paying ofcourse) with a Tamyia PORSCHE Boxster special edition for $37.40 (normally $45.75 NZD)
For those in Auckland get down to Hobby Direct before next Sunday (when the sale finishes) all Tamyia kits 20% OFF :D Fujimi kits only 5% OFF :(

PASS.
The kit comes with parts to make either the standard Porsche or the Special edition.
In my opinion the standard wheels are much nicer than the special edition ones (the ones in the pic).

well I started to get serious about what I wanty this kit to look like. The first decision is what color to paint it, I'm leaning towards a metallic silver. Any ideas as to what a good color would be for this car?
Second decision is what wheels to use.
The top wheels are the Special edition wheels that have been re-sprayed in gold. The bottom set of wheels are the standard Porsche wheels.

Took Spec2 and Moondog out model shopping in the weekend and of course me being me had to purchace another kit to make :)
So now I must decide if I want to start the Boxster special edition or the new Toyota Celica. Also purchased a set of Nismo NS5R wheels, but will have to go back again and buy their last set also because they are such good looking wheels.

Although I don't think they sell wheels at the Quay St. store- So can you tell me where you got those ones so I can put them on my R32 GTR
Pretty Please

they do sell wheels at Hobby City (Quay St) they are hidden amongst their car models, just takes a bit of searching (the selection isn't the best though).
I got mine from Acorn Models(down the road further from hobby direct.)
On Saturday they had 1 set of the Nismo wheels left:eek:
