This will be the last time my car sees the track before the turbo goes in. I could keep squeaking a little more and more out of her, but I already have all the turbo stuff right here. I also had a 14.9@89 and 15.0@89 to back it up.

PS; The guy in the other lane was driving a v6 02 style eclipse with a 70 SHOT!... Even though his car was clearly faster I still beat him to the end of the track. Twice! haha I love it!

15's in a eco cav is nothing amazing. A bone stock 5spd with an average driver and good track conditions can run 15.8 all night long.

Thanks man. Yeah I do plan on upgrading the piping size after the turbo goes in, but I'll probably only do 2.5 inch Since I'm going to run 10lbs of boost max. All the turbo parts are off of a 2003+ Saab 9-3.Turbo is a TD04.

I wouldnt go any less then 3" on the piping. Bumping up 1/4 isnt going to be much of a help and everyone always says they are going to stay at a low boost level but it doesnt take long to up it. Ill put money on it.

Well, don't forget the turbo is going to be what provides all the pressure in the exhaust system. After the turbo you just want that exhaust out of there ASAP to keep temps down and minimize pressure while maximizing flow. Thus, giant exhaust piping after the turbo.

I've heard many theroies on this. Some say they have seen 2.5 withstand alot of boost without hurting performance, while others say bigger is better let more out. And now just recently, someone mentioned an electric exhaust cut out, which I found really intresting and might try sometime after I boost.

I'm not even sure that 3 inch piping will fit under there... But I'm actually thinking about waiting till after winter now because the track is gonna be closed and I drive like 75 miles to work round trip everyday. So I might as well wait a little. That will give me a little more time and money to get prepared to make the switch:wink:

lol nice. but ya i have seen 3 inch pipeing on a cavy before..... it will fit and i recomend u go 3 inch because ya :) just do it! lol
