A few races tonight....

Well I have been talking to a guy at work that has a WRX and hangs out with some guys that race on the weekend. We hooked up tonight and I got a chance to race the Wrx and a GTI 1.8t.

I am in my Jeep by the way.....

The first race was with the GTI on a 40 roll which is a good spot for me in second, anyway we get going 40 and he honks down 3 and we go.. He pulls 1/2 car on me until about 70 were he puts another 1/2 car on me and stays that way till 110...

second race....40 roll against WRX...

He pulls almost 2 cars on me off the get go. By time we hit 90 I have gained back about 3/4 cars stays that way till I shut down at 110...

Third race.... Dig....

I lined up with the GTI and we had 1/4 mile marked out. The flagger checked to see if we were both ready and then dropped his hands...

I pulled 2 cars from the start and he started gaining a little but never got to my rear fender all the way through 1/4 mile...

The guy in the GTI was pissed ...and wanted to go again so we did a 20 roll on the way back to the starting point. I Dropped into second not knowing how I would do...He honked 3 and got 1 car on me and stayed that way till I noticed I never put it back into drive and I let off...

I still want to race cars and beat or hang with them in my Jeep that nobody expects. The guys I hung out with last night were shocked how I was right there with them at any time. In a 4000 pound brick...

I just got back from driving the GTP and I thought at first my Jeep would be able to get it till 50 or 60, but I'm not so sure now. That GTP scoots. I am going to National Trail Raceway tomorrow with both the Jeep and the GTP. It's test and tune and my brother-in law is going to drive the GTP.

I will have times for both vehicals posted by tomorrow night...Any guess on WITCH one will win...I think we all know....

i personally think the jeep will win by times, but the gtp will win in trap speeds. nice races. wrx's aren't really scary if you race them from a roll, as their advantage of all time awd puts them at a loss on a roll unlike in the jeep you can turn of 4x4 time, and just be front wheel drive.

haha i think you're the only person i've ever heard of who consistently races in a jeep :lol: nice runs..but yeah wrx's have shit for top end.

Actually I have the Quadratrac II and I am in AWD all the time I cant go to rear wheel drive just 4 low.... So I get off the line really quick...
