is it possible to clean the tip and reuse?? i was looking on kragens site, and a new bosch o.e. sensor was over $200.
they had a universal one without connectors for under $100. if i was to get that one, what would i need to do to make it usable? how would i wire it? im assuming it would be a huge hassle since its so much cheaper. has anyone had experience with installing a new one?

Mine was easy to install. But was also a lot cheaper. Mine cost like 60 bucks, with the connector. I would think you would be able to get the one without a end and splice it onto the old plug.

yea thanks. i did a little more searching and i found that i can do exactly what you said. although i'd use just a single wire sensor, meaning that i wont be able to have it heated.
one more thing. i saw on ebay a couple ngk sensors, but none for my year. if i were to cut off the wires and splice just the single to the harness, would it work?? are all sensors threaded the same?
