Brake fluid flush

I have a V6 3.8L. It has ABS and probably contraction control. Is there anything I need to know for a brake fluid flush in order not mess up the brake system?

Thanks.

vacuum pump on the bleeder screws is the easiest way in my opinion. just have assistant on hand to keep the resivoir full.

I am not familiar with the contraction control system installed on cars? Does it have something to do with getting your pregnant wife/girlfriend to the hospital without soiling the car's interior?

The manual says, "Do not attemp this procedure if your vehicle is equipped with the Traction Control System, as the brake system can not be bled withoug the use of a Tech or T-100 (CAMS) scan tool."

Actually I'm not sure if my 96 Camaro RS is equipped with Traction control system. It might, because I saw "low traction" light on the dashboard.

If you have it, it will illuminate the "low trac' light during the system & bulb check @ startup.

The V6's didnt come with traction control. Some did however come with a 2nd gear start button to help grab traction on wet surfaces. And Wright, I dont have T/C and my low trac light lights up on startup...:dunno:

Main thing to remember with ABS brakes is do not let it run dry on fluid.
keep that master cylinder filled up.
Depending on what ABS system you have some will require a ABS bleeder capable scanner to bleed them if the ABS ststem gets air in it.
