The gas pedal has nothing to do with the fuel line. What exacatly do you mean when you say it feels loose??

Cable can be adjusted - have someone watch the throttle when you depress the pedal and does it start to move - often alittle after so it will not jump for stupid drivers. One cable is throttle other cruise so trace to tell.
