wait are you running amps and 4 guage is enough if you are. only subs are what make you need 0 guage wire. and which fuse if blowing the one in the power in line or what we need specifcs

sounds like the amp is overheating

Ok im running 2 polk 12" subs to my amp and its 4 gauge amp wires ... then i got a profile 1000 w amp getting crossovered from my sony amp which runs my subs ... the profile amp powers the car speakers ... my 6x9s and 5x7s ... the fuse that blew was under the hood close 2 the battery ... sumethin that unscrewable and replaced ... ne thing else u need 2 kno specific ??

could be a number of things. amps are overheating or you clipped your amp due to not putting out enough power. What size fuse are you using?

I would almost have to see this ...... is the fuse that blew something that came with the car, or something the installer put in with the stereo stuff ?

It came with the stereo stuff. The tsunami 4 gauage amp kit thing. The amp isnt overheating because I jus turned the car on and it likes start cutting out already. I dont think i have enough power running but i was running the speakers for about 3 or 4 days before it cut off without no problem. I have no type of clue what fuse it is tho. but i kno that its under my hood and connected to the battery and its like the size of a peanut or a little bigger ..

I don't know how the guy has it wired up .... maybe the CD player is wired for power to the same place the amp is ? Of course the CD player could be working fine and you still won't hear any sound if the fuse that powers both amps is blown.

thats right ... that fuse powers both amps ... but y is the sound cuttin in and out if the fuse is blown ... it cant b blown ... in my mind i think sumethin is loose ... but im jus tryin 2 find out cause my cash is low and i dnt get paid for another week and it kills me not 2 listen 2 nuthin in my car ... ridin in silence lol ... but ne idea y it cuts in and out

probably a loose power or ground wire. Find where the amps are grounded and check that screw/bolt.

Well a quick fix (Temp) would be to get a 100 amp + circuit breaker. There pretty cheap. I'm running 6000 watts and had to get a Optima Battery (200) plus a new alternator (195) Now i never have a problem with cliping.

Like If i do get an optima battery what otherr stuff will i have 2 get 2 install it as a second battery because im thinkin of gettin it in my trunk and running it to the optima battery and running the other amp to my car battery .

Your amps are probably going into protect mode.

what makes it go into protect mode ??? and what does it do wen it goes in2 protect mode ??

normally an amp goes into protect mode when if it overheats, the impedance load (speakers) is too low, or there are power problems like a short circuit

Yea when they go in protect mode most likely there also popin fuses. Turn your car off for about 30 seconds and start it back up. Check the front fuse aswell

measure impedance across +/- power and speaker terminals with amp unhooked form power and speakers. if it doesnt read open, bad amp
