You guys ever have one of those? A race that almost occured or half occured but never finished and you get frustrated and cant sleep over it?
It happens to me all the time.
In Miami street races happen every second on every block after 8:00 p.m.
all you have to do is rev and someone will respond.
Tonight it was a 350Z. I was behind him in a two lane and he is driving the speed limit which is too slow so as soon as i get a chance I try to pass. as soon as I get next to him he down shifts and punches it but Im like pfffft, alright bro whatever and I put like 2 cars on him. I know not fair, I already had momentum. so he tails me and then does the same to me but I didnt downshift and he actually passes me. I pull up and tell him "hey if you wanna run lets go from a dig up here"
him: is that a 6.0?
me: yeah
him: does it run nice
me: yeah, you wanna go?
him : nahh I got no time.
he took off one way and I took off another!
now its fucking buggin me! hes probably online right now in some Z forum typing "I beat a 6.0 GTO tonight!" I shoulda chased his ass! I mean I know any Z would get raped by my car, its a universal truth that GTOs eat all Zs (unless they are running an APS turbo kit or something).
still I cant get over the fact that I let him go!

Yeah, I can relate to that, only in an actual elimination round at the track. Not so much a race that didnt happen with me though as it is ones I'd like to go back and do again, lol.

I got one like tha tonight but it went a little differently, I was driving the 8 when a new GTI comes next to me blowing his show-off valve. I look at him and give him the I'm game nod, I turn off the cop infested streets and we go on the new street from a roll, I put a car on him. We then try to go from a dig and he launches spinning his tires and I bog a bit, but manage to recover and as soon as I do someone merges in my lane so we couldnt finish. I shouldve followed that guy too, but it was already late. And Musashi call me tomorrow morning.

yeah i've had a few similar situations. i was racing a mercedes, would've won cuz i had the lead by a little even just off the line but the fucker blew a red light to beat me and im not about doing shit like that. and he gave me the finger. sore fake winner..
just don't let it get to you that the guy was a douche. so what if he tried to go tell all his online buddies that he won. the rest of us here know who the real winner is ;)

Every stop light he peels off, finally i get pissed and at the next light he takes off hard, i take off normally then go WOT. I quickly get ahead of him and let off, cops all over the place. Well he still keeps going for like 5-10 more car lengths.

Hm, like yesterday when I was driving on the turnpike in our NA 98' Subaru and some idiot in a new bright yellow mustang GT wouldn't go faster than 80. So when he finally moves to the right so I can pass him, he downshifts and blows me away. (yeah who didn't see that coming) Needless to say, it was completely straight, no cops, no traffic, for 5 miles...and I didn't have my vr4 :banghead:
Others, for a year or so I tried to catch a race with an orange elise...we parked next to each other multiple times...but it never worked out that we met.
Also a Testarossa that was garaged across the street from my gf's old place. I followed him one day for a few miles trying ot get him to bite, but no such luck.
