I have some enforced absence from AF and I come back to find someone has registered in AF as 'Replicant' - I know what a Replicant is but this is a bad case of identity fraud....

Banlandia... more like Australia. I ended up here in a dusty, dry land infested with deadly spiders, snakes, crocodiles (and other reptiles and that excludes some of the leathery women on Bondi) and friggin more flies than a sheep dagging.

And it's mid 30s celsius in September which is supposed to be spring and I've contemplated wearing a surgical mask to the golf course as there are so many flies you'd think it was a refugee camp in Abyssinia... does stop me licking my lips though.

Three days in a row last week it was the hottest days in October in 150 years and I'm doing my bit as the air conditioner has been pumping warm air out of my little terrace place. I've had to teach the local bar staff how to make cocktails and now the Sydney Morning Herald is saying that the Mojito is going to the 'it' cocktail here this summer now the Carrie Cosmo is so passe.

Still there are some pluses - according to the demographic data there are a lot more single hetero females here than straight guys (especially in Sydney) and warm weather means short cotton dresses and bikinis...
