hey everyone, its about 10pm here right now, and im watching Speed, with keanu reeves, on the FX channel. im...havin a couple drinks :sunglasse . one thing i noticed is this...
in the movie, some guy wants 3.7 million dollars or he blows up a bus full of passengers. keanu reeves fools the bad guy, and gets the passengers off the bus. then he lets the bus drive into an airplane and explode. im willing to bet my next 5 paychecks that the airplane alone was worth more than 3.7 million dollars. if keanu had just given the man the money, he woulda saved a lot of heartache and expenses. oh wait i forgot... he knows kung fu

A brand new helicopter I used to work on was 20 million and it wasn't close to a jumbo jet.
Wasn't it a jumbo jet that he crashed into? If so I think that thing is probably close to 50 million.

hell yea...thats what im saying though, it woulda been cheaper to just give the dude the money. in the process of trying to NOT give the man the money, jeff daniels died, cars were ran off the highway, accidents, the jaguar lost a door, then the owner of the jag crashed into the yellow water barricades. the driver got shot. the one lady tried to get off the bus and the doorway blew up, killing her. plus the bus and plane blew up anyways. not to mention all the psychiatric therapy some of those people are gonna need. then, if that wasnt enough, a few miles worth of subway and the train itself was destroyed. if they had given the guy 4 mill, he woulda been on his merry way and that would have been it.
they lost a lot of money just trying to make sure that the bad guy didnt get a little bit of money.

yeah. lets make the world a better place by spending another couple trillion. the government is just throwing money towards weapons and troops and everything, if i had just a itsy bitsy tiny little .5% of what theyve spent on war since going on this rampage, i would be RICH.
