94 Door Handle Rod Help

I am in the process of trying to reconnect the rod from the exterior handle...Does anyone have a diagram of this? Unfortunatly I am not the first to take a crack at this cars malady and don't know what is right. Is it smart to drill the rivets and move the lock/interior handle assembly. Thanks.:banghead:

the zone (http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/0e/e4/42/0900823d800ee442.jsp) click the link on the right that says door locks.
If you are removing the lock to replace it, the replacement will need riveted back in place. You can use nuts/bolts, but they dont always stay tight and the lock would move or allow door to open at anytime :eek:
