i was told my driveshaft was bad so i replaced it it had alot of play in it anyways so it needed to be replaced
but now instead of the clicking noise it was making its making a horrible vibration any ideas what it could be.

Interesting. The usual things are a bad center support and of course bad "U" joints, but if the shaft was replaced and balanced correctly and the center support was replaced and pre-loaded correctly, then unless the transmission support bushings are bad, I am at a loss.

it was a brand new shaft i put in there. i dont think theres really much to screw up on installing one. it was weird before that it was making a horrible clicking like it was thudding.

Get up and under and take a look at teh transmission support bushings, if they are flat that could be the problem.

when you replace a driveshaft your supposed to replace the flex disk also it would cause a vibration like that according to a friend of mine. Also the tranny mounts could be flat but i would inspect it before you just jump at something it can get costly guessing.

i checked my flex disk and it looks okay.thats what made me think it was my tranny supports now is the mounts and the supports the same thing? decause the ones im talking about are right in front of the drive shaft two little rounded mounts they sit right next to each other. and thanks for the feed back i really appreciate it alot.

if the driveshaft is good then the tranny mounts could be cracked or dryrotted also make sure their not flattened out. if all that checks out id look twards a rear end problem or a bad driveshaft.
