Hey guys I am haveing a humming a noise on my front driver's side tire. I have Michelin LTX ms's on my truck, they are brand new and i know that it is not the tires. The humming stops when i go around a tight corner, but then continues when i straighten the truck back out. Could it possiblely be a wheel bearing? Anyone one have any ideas?

So it must have been doing it before the new tires ,correct. on a couple of cars that I have had frt whl bearings would go and what I noticed is going down the highway straight ,hear the noise , give the steering wheel abit of a wiggle and the noise would dissappear for a brief moment. Bro in law had a p/u developed a f/e noise, told him to try this and bingo that was it .just my:2cents:

Yeah that is exactly what is happening. So it is a wheel bearing huh? Did you guys fix it or is it something that you would be better off bringing into a mechanic?

Did you guys fix it or is it something that you would be better off bringing into a mechanic?I won`t guarntee it`s a wheel bearing, I took mine to a local garage .Put it up on hoist ,spun the wheels to about 35 -40 MPH and confirmed it. Then I just had them do the work an hour to an hour and a half labour. You can do it yourself but I watched them hammer my old hubs off .tight tight tight ,rust corosion. If you do it yourself then BE SURE to follow the TORQUE specifications for your hub. Otherwise if you get it too tight you`ll be doing it again. If done at a shop tell them No Impact guns on this job.The first tech used a gun on mine and inside of a year they were gone again. Hubs/bearings were guaranteed for life so I got new ones again no charge. Had a different tech next time around had him follow torque specs ,no more failures. Hope this helps.
Good Luck Muff
