Movistar Suzuki

This is only my second motorcycle kit and I am loving it. I wish all kits went together this easily. I'm not sure if the airbox on the 1:1 is covered entirely in CF, but I noticed the front portions of the scoops were so I decided to cover the entire thing for some added color and or texture. There are approximatley nine gazilion small portions and pieces that make up the cf on the box:screwy: I have another one of these Suzuki's on the shelf and plan on making a template/pattern to make it easier when I build that one. All told, way too many hours on doing just this piece. Anyway, comments, suggestions appreciated. Thanks for looking "Q"
ps. Just noticed a couple of wrinkles in my CF decls for the exhaust that I need to fix...funny how digital cameras can pickt that up.

Very nice building...I have made this bike yet...but..yours is better finished than mine!!

CF looks really great! So does the exhausts! How are the cowls comming along?

Thanks. The front cowl is fine. I got the mold line smoothed off and have made templates for the CF that I plan for the inside. Rear cowl is together with the template yet to be made. The lower cowling is the sore spot. Had to add some putty, sand, prime, add some putty, sand ,prime but it looks about ready for paint. I couldn't believe they split the tank down the middle!:screwy: I got it together with a very minor seam that I filled and smoothed out. Currently working on the forks dechroming and removing the mold line on them in prep for paint. Have also done some more detail painting to bring out a few areas and cleaned up a bit of the wash where it was a litttle heavy. They are water colors so it was really easy. More pics to follow soon. Thanks for the kudos on the exhaust. They were base coated in Testors Ehaust color to start, not the metalizer, but the regular paint. Once dry, I used blue and yellow inks manufactured by Higgins. I shot these to the areas that would change color due to the heat, at the heads, midline of the expansion chamber and any tight bends. Blue flanked by yellow on either side. These had to be applied in light coats to keep it from beading up. Once they were dried, I used Testors Metalizer Exhaust to go over the weld lines. This is a darker color and brought out the weld lines. I had to go back and reshoot the original base color in a few spots to tie everything together. Hope this answers your question. Wow, thats quite a lot of steps. I think i'll try that kind of technique for my WIP NSR500s. So far, your result is probably one of the best i've seen on those two stroker exhausts...
