How to start out

ive just started drawing cars ive been drawing cartoons but cars is a whole diffrent stlye to me i can do pretty good freehand but sometimes my porportion is off. should i start doing freehand just to get a feel for it or keep doing freehand?

alright ill try but dont think its goin to be a masterpeice cuz its not
