Have a 99 blazer. Some of my lights are out on my radio/cd player. Can you replace these bulbs? Is it a big job? Thanks for any help.

What radio? Does it have four smaller, separate knobs along the lower edge for bass, treble, fade, and balance?

They are on the lower right side of the radio.

I don't think they are replacable. I may be wrong but I think you have to open it right up. Watch the Delco Lock though, could lock you out of your radio.

That is correct BlazerLT. I have a Z71 that has some radio indicator lights out. Had that puppy beat up pretty good until I phoned the local GM service manager. Told me buy a new radio, told him to screw off!:grinyes:

Just had my original '97 radio/cassette apart yesterday.
There's 3 lights in the unit that are soldered onto circuit boards, no twist/plug in units on it. You could probably tear the whole unit apart(take front plate off, then remove the top board, then other boards to get at the lights- there's a minimum of 3 boards in there. You can probably get replacement bulbs at Radio Schack (5V units most likely)
The display is a backlighted LED unit,non-serviceable.
I've had some chats with a fellow who has a '99 Yukon that he ordered 10 replacement bulbs from GM.
