keyless remote reprogram

I bought a new remote for my '99 Formula and I can not reprogram it. Please can anyone help?

Your vehicle originally had that option. Right?

Yes my '99 formula cama with the keyless remote entry factory installed. One of my remotes was damaged so I bought a new one and I just need to reprogram it.

Thanks Formula LT1 but I have tried to sync the remote but it did not work. Any other advice or methods I could use?

Nowadays you can put keyless entry in any car with power locks, They sell kits to do it on ebay. Just search keyless entry and you will see a million different results for kits to install keyless entry ranging 20 - 200. Good luck

How far did you get into the process and when you bought the new FOB was it from the dealer, ebay, or a friend? Look at the part #'s.



GM ordering part numbers for the correct items for F-bodies:

remote control door lock transmitter (keyfob) (93-95 Firebird) = 12522339
remote control door lock transmitter (keyfob) (94-95 Camaro) = 15725423 (formerly 10239647)
remote control door lock transmitter (keyfob) (without antitheft) (96-98) = 16245103
remote control door lock transmitter (keyfob) (with antitheft - RPO UA6) (96-02) = 16245100

All 98-02 Camaro / Firebird / Trans Am models can use the same remote type:

FCC - ABO1502T
Canada - 218101368
Part # - 16245100-29
