Looks like a hunk of DPFI crap on a cart to me? Explain how you think this is a d15 head? and how you expect us to tell you it is/is not by this picture.

I think he's wondering why it says "ZC" on the block, but doesn't have the dohc ZC head on it. Most people only know the "Dohc ZC" and not the sohc zc. What looks like happened was someone had a dpfi civic/crx and blew the motor. They ordered up a sohc zc as a replacement and they swapped on their stock dpfi intake manifold to simplify the install.

upgrade to mpfi..plenty of info on here on how to do it just search. youll have to do some wiring and find the parts you need but its not hard.

http://www.thezcr.com has all the info you will ever find on ZC honda gen 1 and gen 2 motors. Also some info on the SOHC ZC, and if I remember correctly, some info for the ZC-G, if you should happen to wanna learn about the B16ZC engine. Have a nice day, and GL with your car :)
Oh, and btw.. if it was a DOHC ZC engine, there is no way a person who had "blown and changed their engine" would ever have put a SOHC head on it.. too much machine work necessary for a stock DPFI installation... so yeah, it's a SOHC ZC, and pry has the A6 head on it.. with A6 stock cams, etc.

Did the A6 have the spark plugs in the back like the 1.5's? or is it like most 1.6's with the plugs in the front? I haven't dealt with the a6 much, but I know thats usually the quickest way to find out if its a 1.6 or 1.5.
As for the ZC block, as someone said, someone probably blew the motor and got a SOHC ZC block and just kept the DPFI stuff on it. And yes the first thing you need to do is do the MPFI swap, if you swap out motors in the future for something better, your gonna have to do it anyway.

unless is it is a super ultra rare jdm engine, i'm calling bullshit.
unless you mistyped and meant to put d16a1?
went to your lil forum and did a search for b16zc on there. not a fucking thing showed up.

OR, it's PROBABLY just the stock sohc ZC head that came with the block...lol.

Spark plug location doesn't have anything to do with engine size. They're all the same castings for god sakes.
Spark plugs in the back = nonvtec head (sohc zc nonvtec, d16a6, d15b2, d15b1, d15b7,etc.)
spark plugs in the front = vtec head (d16z6, d16Y8, sohc zc vtec, etc.)
The only exception to this rule is that the D16Y7 non vtec head has the spark plugs in the front.

Bambam....I said I wasn't for certain on it, but thats usually one of the quickest ways for me to tell since I see 100's of motors sitting on pallets everyday....but I'm usually looking for z6's or y8's....well stopped looking for y8's because my work is way too damn proud of them, they sold one for $1150 w/o tranny or accessories.

yeah, that was mibad... D16A8/9 (UKDM) I've found ppl that refer to them as ZC-G for some reason... the B16(A1?) Vtec First gen motor doesn't have another designation that I know of.. oops and thanks for pointing that out.

I've seen b16zc in one of my old ass books (from the '90's), I believe it's a reference to the dohc ZC engine. It's not a real authentic engine code by any means.

that's possible.. b/c the dohc D series is often also referred to as the "crossover engine" since nothing head wise from a D or B will fit.. so it's misclassified often.. it's still a D series engine, even the ones from japan that are just called "ZC" have D16ZC on the blocks.

You sure about that homey? Go check again. I've seen 7 or 8 ZC motors and they are ALL stamped "ZC".

WTF? Those are mounts. MPFI swap is the wiring that has to be done to run 4 injectors.

I've never actually seen them up close, they don't make it around here that often. I only get to integra motors, presently, from an 86. I've not had a chance to get a newer one yet, I was just gonna put that 86 A1 in my '88 CRX.. then I decided not to.. even though I already did the drilling and made the front mount to do it.. but now it's pry going on the '85 with 4 bike carbs on it ITB style.. cuz I don't feel like running all the shit and changing half the car to make it FI. Either way, if I"m wrong, sry for the misinformation, not here to argue the point.
If you say the newer ones don't have D16 on them, I'll take your word for it.
