Hello, I lost my keys for my 97 sonoma v6 and I need to get to an important appointment in a few days and I'm wondering how to hotwire the thing or get it started somehow. I pulled off the bottom steering column covers and I just need to know which wires to cross or however you do it, any help appreciated thanks!!

Does this truck have a steering column lock, if so this will not work.

Ya it does have a steering column lock but its not engaged, the steering column will be unlocked if that makes a difference? Someone told me I can just smash the ignition off and use a screwdriver, will it work with my truck?
