T-Top installation and drawback questions

I've just recently bought an '86 Camaro as a project car, and have a lot of work to do on it. I was wondering if installing a t-top would cost a pretty penny, or jsut a lot of work, or both? Like, about how much would it cost if the idea comes to mind? My friend works at an collisions repair shop, and he offered to help me with my project car because he loves to work with cars, especially camaros like he has. So installation won't be a hassle, however I'm just wanting to konw about an apporximation of a price, or what all I'll need. A list of items would be most helpful, since ebay can probably help me from there. Or should I even go through the hassle of making it a T-top? And if I do, would it affect any performance from my car? Thanks

I'd say, leave it a hardtop... T-tops have a habbit of leaking... especially if it's not a factory done job.

hmm, thanks for the reply. That's basically what my friend told me too. But I had just wanted to decide before I begin buying parts to my car that.. will not be used or do a paintjob too soon.
