Help with bike choice...

I have been rideing for 4 years now. I had a GS650G for two years b4 the motor blew, and CB900 Custom for the last two years. I am looking in to getting a new sport bike. I dont really know what bike I want or need. I am kinda a big guy 6' 250lbs, so I want something thats gunna propel me accross the earth with some force. Now this is where I get stumped... I'm not to sure what size bike I should be looking at. Should I go for broke and get a 900-1200 or start smaller with 600? I think I'm gunna look at GSXR600 or GSXR1000 or one of the Kawis. I test drove the CBR F4i but wasn't inpressed(although it was a factory demo ride and really slow). And I dont like the people at my local Yamaha dealer. I would really like something faster, and better handeling(for some possible track days) then my CB900C.

Any help would be great.

P.S. Please post any forums links for bikes here too.

Thanks
Jim

Since you have had experience and are a big guy, I would recommend the R1, gsx750 or gsx1000. They insanely fast. But they can also hurt the budget with insurance prices.

Okay, joking. Um, my personal vote goes for R6 or a Gixxer 750. I don't have any idea how old you are, but atleast you've been riding for a few years. The R6 has a ton of power and is nice and light on the track (since you mentioned track riding). It also would depend on if you want to stay stock or go for aftermarket... I honestly don't know what would have the bigger aftmkt. pull, so that decision would be up to you.

ummmmm no

I was thinking of gettin the R6 BUT, the dealership in my city SUCKS!!
So it looks like the Gixxer 750 will be my new ride.

Now a new question...Should I buy the 2002 modle or wait till spring for the 2003? I could get a 2002 at a good price now, or spend a little more for the "newest and greatest" next year?

Does anyone know if there will be big changes to the 2003?

Depending upon what you're willing to go for... You can even try waiting until the 2k3 models come out and snag a 2k2 for cheap since they'll all want to be selling the "new and improved" model...

Try checking out Suzuki.com under motorcycles (um, duh :p) to see if they have anything posted on body changes or anything.
