Thumping Sound

Looking for some help. Have a 2000 Ranger XLT 4x4 Auto transmission. I'm getting a thumping sound from the truck....I think from the front end. It's louder and more pronounced when going very slow and also when turning. I can also feel it in the brake peddle.
Could this be u-joints or possibly the short shaft?
