2001 Suburban 4WD turning problems?

I have an 01 Suburban 1500. I was doing some maintenance over the weekend, and put it into 4WD. Everything fine, but when I turn at low speeds, it is hard to turn and makes some grinding-like noises. I then put it back in 2WD. When back in 2WD, all works fine.

Any ideas on what is wrong, or what I should check?

No problem No sweat. Just normal operation.
All true 4 wheel drives crow hop in 4 wheel.
If a true 4 wheel drive do not operate them on dry payment in 4 wheel.
