Crazy temp reading related to heating prob?

I'm following-up a previous post with something that I had forgotten. On a 2000 Bonneville with electronic climate control, our external temp read some crazy temp in the 100's. I have not noticed a blinking, however. When we try to use heat (even setting the temp control to 90) it only comes through hot on the passenger side (vent, floor, and defrost) and through the rear vent located on the control console. The driver side including defrost, will only blow cold. Does anyone have any thoughts? I have checked through the posts, but have not found this problem. Would it have anything to doo with the Air Mix Actuator? Thanks,
Eric P

Since only one side is blowing cold, I'd say your issue is the drivers side temp actuator. I would also change the outside ambient temp sensor to remedy the funky reading. That will affect the operation of the HVAC unit most of the time, except when the control is at it's highest/lowest temp setting. When set to the highest/lowest temp allowed , the HVAC should blow hot/cold (depending) air regardless of outside temp reading by default.

Thanks for the help! You were right. I pulled the part and now have heat. Eric
