What the f*ck is going on? And who and how old are these people that are asking to close that thread on the pretty ladies? If you mods see no problem there, why bow down before 2 out of the (I forget how many) at least thousands of people there actually are on AF!?! 13 year-olds I see more than that at school sometimes! The worst pic I saw was that Latino Asian chic (must add that she was just extremely...I'll stop) and that wasn't removed at first but Taz's was? I'm not attacking you Hummer (since you didn't remove it) or "The Professor"(didn't catch s/n 'cause I've never seen them before) but that just shocked me?

Now for repeated questions. Can a mod remove another mods post because, sorry Mr. T, but his post with the naked women playing volleyball with their tits was like 5 times worse than those other pics! And the one Mr. T posted was animated! Also his sig is bad, but I don't care about it. I'm just throwing in comparisons. I just find this so puzzling?

I've read enough anger threads that people always say anonymous things and don't say who they are talking about. As you can see, I have. I'll come from behind the curtain to say, I've seen 10 times worse on here than that thread and the mooning one! I asked questions I now think should be removed if Taz's pic was!

I'm with you on this,Damien,but my sympathies go to Hunmerman.It was never going to be an easy thread to manage,as one persons'glamour is another persons porn.

Sad that the people who are claiming the moral high ground don't have the backbone to stand up in public for what they believe in.

and as regards the animated vollyeyball gif....it's a cartoon for God's sake.I know that you can get some pretty graphic anime without having to look too far,but let's face it,that one's tame.

DVS, it seems like you would be the first registered member. Not to diss any other mods, all of you do check "Introductions" and post something to the newbies, but DVS seems to be the one always posting warnings and closing threads for good reasons pretty much. Here I disagreed, but I was just mad at the anonymous people. DVS just seems like the head mod here. Also, I've seen Mr. T stop threads that got outta hand fast.

Well, maybe I should be working, but I'm not. So, I use my work computer to access AF. Personally, I'd really rather not have images like that one show up in a thread. I know it's only a cartoon, but my company has this thing about "viewing material unsuitable for the workplace" or some such rubbish. If it's tastefull pics of ladies, no problem, but as soon as any kind of nudity is involved, it could mean my job... (I've asked my HR rep about this).

So, when I see something like that, I immediatly clear my cache, etc., and I think that my chances of "getting busted" or whatever are pretty slim. However, I'd prefer not to download it to my hard-drive in the first place...

Well, I was opposed to the whole thread for this reason. I can't stand the week long bitching from all the whiners after the thread has been closed. Hummerman received PM's regarding the content of the thread, you can't keep everybody happy. Also with these threads, one-upmanship is prevalent. One bikini pic turns into a smaller bikini, then a bikini coming off, and so on and so forth. I'm not opposed to nudity, and yes, 13 year olds can see a whole lot more if they really want to...my main concern is this...I don't want AF the be the place they find this nudity. I don't want his parents finding out that this so called "family site" is showing their kid near-porn. I have no opposition to nudity myself, but there is a place for it, and, like it or not, it's not here, so stop bitching before you get everyone pissed.

I guess I'm with Heep and Ci5ic on this one... Alternatively, you can have the wild west which is fine. But then you end up with the kind of senseless crap and abuse on other sites that made me wander thru here in the first place... if you want to see what I mean have a look at the email forum on XTRA Motoring off www.xtra.co.nz - that stuff is just nasty...

Alright, I didn't know how long it's been closed first of all. Second of all, nudity? Where is that? You could go to a Christian beach and see the samething, except there is the possibilty of one pieces. I just read another thread about Terminal Velocity and it seems there are a lot of opinions about AF finally revealing. I see you used "" around family site. What's that mean? If that's the representation you are showing, why are you telling a 15 year-old to stop, "female-dogging" about it?

I simply used the term nudity when I was saying it doesn't bother me to show that bikini pictures bother me even less. However, when you get a skimpy bottom that's halfway off, one-upmanship demands that the next picture have it fully off....

Alright, just for the record, there was no nudity or porno so peepes, stop saying there was. Understand ya Heep, but the main ordeal was the major difference in Taz's pic (removed first time) and that Latino Asian chic(never removed yet far worse).

For the record, I understand why the thread was close, if more peole complained. It just bugs me for two people's complaints it was closed!

Now, either this was made up, but I sw a member that was...at least older than 60 maybe even 70! When the complaints were anonymous, this person popped into my head. Just thought I would throw that in.

I go with DVS on this one. I too have said all along that these type of threads should not be allowed here at AF due to what is now happening. If you want to look at porn...go somewhere else to veiw it.
As soon as a thread like this starts it just asks for trouble because what one person things is OK in not for another.

You're really starting to tick me off Damien. I NEVER said there was nudity, stop yelling at me for saying there was. Yes, I said you were bitching. You still are, and now I am too. "Bitch" is far more commonly used in "family" sites, movies, anything than nudity, so I and no other mods have any problem with it. The "F" word, for example though, does not belong on a "family site", and is thus not used. Tazdev's picture was removed without consulting Hummerman, and the mod responsible was in the wrong, however, he's sorry and everythings cool. So stop blaming every mod, calling us bad people and saying you could do a better job. Yes, the picture after tazdev's was worse, and should have been removed also. Either that, or tazdev's should not have been removed, and I've already stated that was done without authorization. Now stop complaining, please. We made a call to close the thread and we're sticking to it.

Just to be clear, this is not aimed at anyone specifically nor is it reprimanding anyone. I think I just need to shed some light on something that a lot of folks seem to overlook when it comes to how things run on AF. So please take this as an enlightenment or an FYI and not a reprimand or something along those lines.

There are many times on AF when things get out of hand and it is up to a Mod to handle the situation. A forum as large as AF get's to be too much for one Mod to handle and that is when the need for other Mods to assist one another comes in. With this comes the additional responsibility of working together.

But with this togetherness, there is still another obstacle of each ones individuality. Every single Mod is an independent thinker and carries his/her own senses of ethics/morality. As it pertains to AF, I try and tell all the mods to simply stick to the guidelines and enforce those. But if we stick strictly to those, then every single member on here will label us "Nazis" or that we are to controlive. So now you have to understand that we try and create a medium so that everyone is happy and enjoys their stay here.

AF's members need to realize the amount of time and effort every single Mod puts into this, voluntarily. No one is on a salary and no one is receiving any benefit from this, personally. The only benefit that the Mods of AF get is seeing the forums grow into the communities that have formed and to keep them as free flowing as possible with very little ripples. This takes a lot of effort on their part to be as unbiased as possible without violating AF's policies.

Now every now and then, things slip by, intentionally. Instead of appreciating those opportunities that are allowed and just enjoying them, we get complaints when a Mod exercises his authority to enforce the policy when it gets out of hand. This dissappoints me greatly because one person will take offense and what have you and just spoil everything. One thing that I want all of AF's members to understand is, there is not a single Mod on here that is allowed to use their powers on AF to single out a member or to "pick" on a single member. Whether you believe me or not, anything and everything that a Mod does on here is carefully scrutinized and questioned in the Mod corner. So believe me, they don't want to be bothered with having to answer questions, why bother doing it then.

When an AF Moderator get's involved in something, it is usually because it was brought to his attention or he perceives something is not right. It doesn't have to be a majority of people complaining for a Mod to act. Quite the opposite, they listen to each and every single member, because we treat every voice on here with the urgency. It is why so many people enjoy staying at AF and often say that AF is better than such and such board because we offer a more comfortable atmosphere. It is this atmosphere that every single Mod tries to maintain, and it is not an easy task considering the amount of members we have.

So I hope everyone here, to some degree, understands what I'm getting at. There will be some that won't be happy and there are those that will be. I just hope you can understand that we aren't here to play "Power Mod" and see how many people we can piss off. We just want everyone to enjoy their stay here. That is all.

Hopefully this is the last we will see of the pretty women threads, they cause bitching they rip AF into a rivalry of angry posters vs. mods and I have to sit through it, I come to AF, to switch my brain off and chill, not have to read bickering wherever I go :mad: :mad:
