Removing A/C

Last night I pulled out all the A/C piping, compressor, condensor, etc. I noticed on one of the coolent pipes there was a plug with a sensor. Do I need the sensor/can I leave the plug just hanging? Are there any caps for the tubes coming out of the cabin to seal off the a/c lines?

You can pretty much remove all the A/C stuff. Mine was gone when I bought the car... didn't even have a the A/C fuse and the wire was cut and taped off in the harness loom. So just take the plugs and fold them up.

I believe so. Either that or they were totally yanked out.

The lines at your firewall are your evaporator core, if you are getting rid of your A/C, it doesn't matter what you do with these hoses, cap them if you like, or just leave them. I am unsure if you can remove the evaporator without removing the whole dash, which is a possibility, I know for sure the heater core you have to remove the whole dash in order to replace it.

Pulled from a 90 crx si. The condensor is shot, unsure is the compressor or dryer are any good. Some of the lines are in good shape, I know I broke one.

What do you need it out of? I got a 90 Teg that I'm not gonna be needing the A/C stuff out of.

Well ive got a 91 DX, im pretty sure the ac components (or at least the wiring) are different from an SI, when I tried to swap an SI harness into my car, almost none of the plugs matched up to the ac components.
