Hello! I have a question I hope I can get some help with!
I have a 95 Astro Conversion van that I just swapped out the driver and passenger power mirrors on last night. The original passenger side was broken and since it was cheaper, I bought a set of aftermarket mirrors to put on it.
The mirrors bolted up fine, but the problem came when I attempted to wire them in. The factory mirrors had 4 wires for the 2 motors, and the new set has only 3 wires. I thought I could just take the mirrors apart and separate out the ground wire from the 2 motors and hook them up like the stock ones, but they don't come apart that easily. Does anyone have any sort of a schematic that shows how the factory mirrors are wired up, or a diagram showing how to wire up a 3 lead power mirror? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

One more thing to note. The new set of mirrors did NOT come with installation papers. I guess the manufacturer assumes everyone can figure it out by themselves! The 3 wires coming from the new mirrors are red/ white/ black. The black is ground, white controls side to side movement, and the red controls up and down. The + & - need to be switched between ground and either red and white to alternate the movement of the mirrors. The wires coming from the van have 4, with each side both having a blue & yellow for ground, and 2 different colors on driver (green & white) & passenger (Red & Purple) side for the positive feed. if I connect the blue and yellow together, I have blown fuses. Any suggestions? Thanks!
