Volt light on - Alt & batt OK

I have a 95 SSEi and the volt light keeps coming on. Sometimes it stays on for just a short while, sometimes a long time. I had the alt and battery checked out, and the parts store said both were good. Holding a voltmeter to the battery while the engine is on shows 14volts even when the volt light is illuminated on the dash. Got any ideas?

try running a new ground wire from the engine to the subframe. If the light goes out, you have a bad engine ground strap.

Thanks richtazz but I can't seem to make the light go out by grounding the engine to the chassis. Where exactly is this strap located, maybe I can unbolt it and reattach it at both ends to make sure it's conducting?
