Security light blinking.....

Hello I have a 2000 gp gt that i had to put a different tranny in. After i put in the different tranny the security light blinks while the car is running. I have no problem starting or running the car but like i said the security light blinks. Can anyone tell me whats going on with this situatioin and what i can do to fix it.

Hard to determine why the tranny issue caused it but when the light blinks while driving down the road it indicates a possible loss of serial data somewheres most likely between the ignition switch and body control module. Content anti-theft system or the Passkey III VATS related.

A scan using a Tech II at the dealer may reveal a body/chassis DTC code.

Thanks....you might need to reprogram the keys soon the car may not start up after awile if the light stays on much longer. you can do that yourself. i know how
