anyone know anything about the 4/7 swap cams? they chage the firing order so its a smoother running engine and it creates less strength on the crank and creates a better flowpath for air/gas in the manifold for carb motors. anyone got any pros/cons. supposably it helps with operating temps too or something. been doing some reading and seems like the normal gains are between 5 hp and 15 hp. and on hp tv they somehow ended up making 50 extra hp. i think i might try one in my 400 sbc im building. well actually its like a ummm 406 or buigger. not sure how much its been bored out or how much farther im going to go. but yeah so what do you all think about the cam?

Yeah, I saw that shit on Horsepower TV too. I thought it was intersting but don't remember (or didn't retain) much about it. I know they didn't net much power from it because I remember thinking 'all that work just for that?'.
I do remember them saying something about better distribution of air flow and air velocity to the cyliders. I don't know, try it and find out for yourself.
