HEY! I just got done painting my crx si tear drop rims silver! DO you have autozone in your area? They have special paint for rims. I think its called dupli-color and you'll see a rim on the can. I bought 2 silver paints and one clear coat.SO you need just about 3 cans. They came out really nice! Its like 4 bucks a can. :)

I would recommend getting your wheels powder-coated. It's alot more durable, and most likely a smoother finish. I don't know how much it would cost, but call around to some local places...

I'm thinking about doing that with my Konig Tuners.

Im with ci5ic on this one. Get you wheels powdercoated if you want the coloring to last.

I second that or find a good body shop that will do it for you, lot's of sanding involved, the body shop I use to work at did it from time to time at cost

U don't have to get it powder coated man. Yeh it might last longer but mine seems to be fine? It doesn't look like crap either. Its really easy. It takes time and patience.

Momos are such nice expensive wheels why would you want to ruin them like that? I would only do that if the condition was terrible just my .02 cents

talk to body shops... you're going to want a real durable paint, and good quality paint if you are painting over some nice Momos. I also recommend powder coating. It is a bitch to paint rims cuz of all the fine little surfaces.

In case you really want to know AF stands for Automotive Forums, you know the site that youre currently looking at? Jesus. Hey moderators, can we put like some sort of IQ test in the registration process? you know, filter out all the sub par people? :spit:

And for this topic, Dude, Please do not do that to some Momos! No offense mellowboy, but spray paint might be cool if you have some old SI rims laying around and your bored but this method should not be used on some Momos. Get them powdercoated. It is really not that expensive. In the long run it will look great. Did you know you can also have them powedercoated just about any color you want? My friend is a powdercoater and he has close to 500 different finishes. He just redid my BMX Frame in dark grey metallic. It looks so nice Im thinking about get some GSR wheels and having him do it to them.

Non taken. Yeh i guess i'm gonna have to agree with Efsleeper cause momos are good rims and u shouldn't risk painting them cause it might look nasty if its done wrong. Just wanna let u guys know my friend got his konig tantrums painted and it came out great. He painted it gun metal. I mean he can paint the momos but its a risk.

yeah his father owns a powdercoating business. How big were the wheels? I would guess the size of the wheels would depend on the price perhaps. he hooked me up with my BMX frame. He charged me 50 bucks. I really dont know what a set of wheels would run. I have heard people paying 400-800 bucks for a set.

for that much i could get a new set of rims. if it's going to cost me $400 to $800 for powder coating, forget it, i'd rather spend $20 spraying it black myself.

THANKS
