Smartphone/PocketPC Selection Help Needed

Okay, so I'm in the market for a Smartphone/PocketPC. I have Verizon, but I will be buying elsewhere on the web, so that's not a problem. I think I am leaning toward either the Motorola Q or the Audiovox VX6700. I kinda like the VX better b/c of the retractable keyboard. Oh, and the primary criteria is that I want the phone to have PalmOS, or be Palm compatible (since my Zire31 just crapped out on me, just over a year after my Zire21 died) so I want to be able to use my old Palm software/data on the phone.
Any input on either phone (or any other Palm-compatible phone for Verizon) is welcome. Oh, and if you know a really sweet place to get said phone(s), that works, too.
Thanks in advance.

I just have a regular phone since nothing I do is important enough to require my ownership of a Palm capable device, but my roommate has all kinds of official business going down. He has the Motorola Q and he likes it. From my past experience Motorola always makes quality products.

I've had an a few Audiovox phones and they were both excellent. But as far as these type of phones I don't really know which I would get. I've talked to a few people who have the Moto Q and they seem to love it.
I just went to the site to check them out. I tend to agree with you about the XV6700. But I'd check both out in person first. Those flip-pad phone quality tends to be iffy with me. But being a 'Vox, it's probably fine. The XV6700 does look a little cooler. Check out howardforums.com and see what they're saying about it.

Next time I want to create a thread, you'll be first on my list of whom I should consult for placement.
Thanks for the replies so far. I just started with my "research" tonight, so it's not like I am ready to make a decision just yet.

i like the VX6700. The "Q" I haven't seen yet, Sprint's not due with it till december. The 6700 seems to be a real nice phone though. If I had the cash, I'd get get the 6700.

Do you mean like a PDA? I've heard the O2 running a cut down version of Windows is quite good.
