Radio looses station/date memory

How do I correct this problem? When the car is turned off all memory is lost!

It sounds like your 12v constant power is not hooked up correctly. is your radio stock or aftermarket? if it is aftermarket it will probably be a red or yellow wire. if it is stock it is going to be more of a pain in the ass to fix.:rolleyes:

Lot's of radios have their own back up battery or something, you might need to replace that.

The radio is stock I believe. It doesn't appear to have been apart-
all fasteners are still in place! Are they really dumb enough to put a backup battery that may itself fail?

I have the same problem, not stock tho... it's a shitty radio from some jeep put into a saab... i'll prolly check the wiring and the battery in that case...

This happened to my cavalier... it was the relay on the alarm (door dinging sound) under/behind the glove compartment - also my dome light wasn't working either and it fixed that as well!!!
