How are u guys doing. Long time no speak. Anyway i recently bought a new Eclipse CD Player. The problem im having is that because GM uses some weird setup there is no 12 volt wire to turn on the deck. So im having trouble finding a 12 Volt accessory wire? Where can i find one to turn on the deck? Any help would be appreciated. -BLAKE

your fuse box should have an extra one. You can test the connections with a test light. Be sure to run a fused connection that you dont have to take the stereo in and out to replace the fuse. Good luck.

I take it that you have a newer GM, like a 2001+ ?
They do not have an ignition wire behind the radio and you must run one from the steering column. It is the large gauge brown wire in the steering column going to the ignition. Make sure to test it with a DMM and fuse it!

i am having the same issue. i am having to rewire the cars stereo harness because it was cut out. they have a accessory line (yellow) for the factory stereo shut off. i am installing an aftermarket stereo and the only way is to cross the accessory with the power wire, but then it does not shut off with the switch
