Ran fine when brought it home last night, started it up and like its hitting on 3 cyclinders. Service Engine light comes on and blinks.
Anyone have any ideas?

sure, get the codes read as above. i'd assume misfire for a particular cylinder or random misfire, from your stated condition.

so at least while waiting to get the codes read, pop the hood and have a look around. all wires fully seated? hoses? etc

otherwise, wait for the codes to narrow the possibilities -- unless you have a 3-cylinder engine. . .

Coil pack is a possibility. I just went through this last weekend. Went from perfect to really rough in one startup. I started pulling plugs when it happened to find which cylinder was missing. I have a '97 which has a coil over each individual cylinder.

An '03 would have ION sensing too so the proper spark plugs would be critical. I dont know if that year would suffer from the IMG problems, could be something to look at.

i have the isuzu rodeo 2000 3.2 v6 auto trans trouble code show 0507 "idle air control is higher than expected" but i can't find the idle air control sensor. The repair book show just right at the side of the throttle body on the 1997 but i coudn't find it on the 2000.Can anyone tell me where exactly it is?I really appreciated.

Mike, do you have the 3.2L in your 2003? Do any work on it recently? As indicated, a *flashing* CEL always means a misfire. Most common cause on the 2000+ is installing the 'wrong' sparkplugs. Like Gizmo says, could be a failed ion sensing unit. If that CEL is accompanied by a reduced power light, it could also be a throttle by wire issue (if it's a 3.2L). Something is amiss as a failed MAF, O2 sensor, etc.. wont cause such a drastic issue on a cold start.

To Joe the hyjacker (kidding!), you are correct. There is no IAC on the 2000+ 3.2/3.5. I beleive that code is telling you the idle speed is too low. You could try a throttle body cleaning, but this might require a reflash of the PCM.
