valve tapping... how to fix?

my valves keep tapping in my baseline 95 3000gt and it seems like it keeps getting worse. i dont know if my oil is too thick or my valves are broken... any suggestions?

Are you sure its your valves and not lifter tick?

Have you looked at your timing? did your belt slip? or is it lifter tick?

swap in some 3rd gen lifters. an change ur oil to 20w50

15w50 does the trick for me.

DSM, SL3000gt is referring you to our FAQ thread. the lifter tick topic is covered in there. there are a few options, the first of which should be to change your oil. you might try a different weight, but just new oil can make a difference.

oh, and i guess you currently have/previously owned some DSM cars? but FYI, the 3000GT/Stealth cars are not DSM cars. tho i'm sure you know that.
