Fuel Tank Question

Hi guys,

I am now swapping my D14 engine in my 4 door for the D16A9 out of a hatch

my question is are the tanks a straight swap between the hatches and the sedans , as my D14 is a carb i need to run a fuel pump from my original tank if they are different :(

Hi Jim,

Yeah, looks like they are different but my tank swap knowledgebase is very limited. However perhaps you can retrofit the guts of the EFI hatch tank (pump, sender unit, etc) into the sedan tank? Anyone else? Please keep us posted. GL

any more ideas peeps?

I believe the tanks are differt, but the sending unit/pump should swap out. if not you can allways just install an aftermarket fuel pump.
