Im really happy im still alive, I take my ex gf go race, I race with the 92 eclipse gsx. First I race with him ( my ex was in the car with me ) and he stop when we at 40mph I did loose that time, I told him why you stop so early. This time my ex was out the car and I race again, I beat him by a car, suddently my car was out off control ( cause on my right tire side, the road is have alot of dirt, that my tire cant grap the road, it happent before when my ex was still in the car, she told me becarefull there ). I hit the wall at 80mph my air bag pop out ,hit my face really hard ( it fucking hurt ), I hit the brake, pull the ebrake, my car was spin around couple time, and hit other side of the road. I call the town truck, town to my friend shop, I dont really think what I gonna do, I got to sleep.

Wow hit a wall at 80, your lucky to be alive my friend. Glad your ok man, and like joe said it's just a car. My dad once told me after I said that I loved my car, he said "Never love something that can't love you back", so just be happy to be alive.

You're very lucky! What was the cause of the race? Some random guy egging you on or a fun run with a friend?

Holy Killer, that sucks man. I am with them, a car is a car but its good you still have your life and thats whats really important. Is the car still salvagable?

This guy with a gsx show up, he was bitching about no one want to race him from stop. So I get in and race with him.

The car still running, but the fan is hit the turbo. I need front bumper and head light, and new fender. How do you get the air bag to get in agains ? 2 of mine is blow out.

Thats sucks Ken, I'm glad your ok though... Shops charge like 600+ dollars to fix the airbag sensor and put them back in. The fender, headlight and bumper will be easy to find and fix. ALso you could pull the fan from the junkyard. Is your frame bent at all from hitting the wall that fast? Radiator leaking? You will probably need to realign the whole front end too.

You can't put airbags back in, nor replace any parts. If an airbag system is deployed, you need all new parts to put it back together (or used ones that haven't been deployed yet). You'll need a new sensor obviously, new module (they go bad after one deployment of the bags) and two new airbags. Like Brian said, they'll be like 600+ (we had to buy a set for a monte that were $800) from a shop, but if you can go to a junkyard or get them from a wrecking place, you should be able to get them cheaper. Car-part.com has lots of good places like that. Also you'll want to get the car into an autobody shop and get the frame checked out, a wall at 80mph can really tweak alot of things and you most likely bent something, I"m guessing at least the radiator support if you're lucky.

They said that because they probably wanted you to buy from them. It's illegal to use parts that have been in a crash when the bags have been deployed, but it's not illegal to use parts from a car that's just sitting there.

I was kind of thinking that to but to me it seems like the only reason a late modle(I was working on a 99) would be in a junk yard is if it was in a wreck of some sort. That doesnt mean the bags went off but unless you go pull it yourself you cant verify it

I just went and check out the car, the frame on the intake is bend pretty bad, need new bumper and head light, and new air bag. will this air bag fix my car ?

You could just not put the airbags back in. If I were in the same spot, I would be getting an aftermarket steering wheel and new dash instead of replacing the airbad system.

I'm sorry what happened, I'm glad you're ok. But you deserved it. Racing with someone else in the car, AND racing on a road like that is stupid thing to do.

Yes I do have some pix, but I just dont want look at it any more, it almost kill my ex gf ( she with me on the first race ), and almost kill me on second race ( im alone ) same spot that almost kill both of us before. Im not thinking about repair it yet ( insurance not cover it ). on a mean time Im looking for a beatler car. And road race is over for me.

If the frame is bent and your gonna need all the air bag stuff among everything else that broke, I would say don't bother repairing it if the insurance isn't gonna cover it. Glad your ok for the most part, but street racing needs to be handled appropriatly...only under good conditions and on roads you know well, if at all. Good luck getting everything sorted out.

Was coming around a 90 degree corner .....coming off the apex I think I hit a bunch of sand scattered in the road....slid the car into a field. Fucking pissed me the hell off. So I feel your pain. damn man... I'm like a week late finding this thread (only b/c I saw your car was for sale) and I'm glad you made it out alright... sry to hear it though... my last car that got wrecked really messed me up for awhile... and that wasn't even my fault... some asshole rear-ended me...

I try to live day by day without boost this babe, it hard but I dont have money for this car any more. It time for her to go, i guess I still had not made up my mind yet.
