Anyways, I just bought a 2003 V6 today in "Shadow Grey Metallic" , I believe it has the pony package too ( its got the big hood scoop and such ) Im 16 by the way, which is why I didnt get a GT ( Insurance and gas were the main deterrents sicne my dad is paying for everything - and I would rather get used to driving first before getting anything fast )
Anyways, as mentioned its an '03 with 11,935k miles for a little under $14 thousand OTD. Not a bad deal if you ask me
Dad took ti for a test drive and we basically abused it. Everything from ahrd acceleration to hard braking to weaving back and forth ( Nobody was around - Industrial road in a giant circle ) It performed very well. What really surprised me was the handling. Ive always heard mustangs had some of the worst handling around but this one is totally tight and grips the road very well. Only problem was a tiny bit of shaking in the wheel, but that might have been caused by the tires which we are going to replace right away ( My dads long time friend owns a tire place - Free tires for life = good :grinyes: )
I might not actually have the car yet, still waiitng to see if the loan is Ok'd. I really hope it gets approved :frown: There was no way of getting it home today anyways ( Me and my dad went in his truck, and I have to be 17 to drive by myself ) Anyways if everythign goes according to plan, the salesman said he would have it sent out for a wash/wash/detailing/oil change and then call us Monday to see what our schedules were like to see when we could pick it up. Althought I hope the detail job comes with gas because when we went to take a test drive the tank was just about empty :uhoh:
Pics to come later after I pick it up ( If I can even get it.....hope the loan goes through )
Planned mods include : Air freshener after nice smelling, yet horribly hazardous, new car smell goes away.....and weight reduction ( Im not gonna wear any underwear )

easy way to tell if it's the pony package...

Dad is paying for everything. Im gonna get a job in the summer though. But for now I need to practice ( already a few months behind ) and he'd rather me concentrate on school then go to work.

it's a beautiful car, and buying a car for your son does not make you any better of a father than one who makes their son work for it. Some just have it better than others

no it doesnt make him a better father, but it certainly does not make him a worse one either.
