2000 f150 all of a sudden hard to start

I have a HD 2000 f150,it just turned 29,000 miles I drive it only on weekends sometimes.anyway a few weeks ago i noticed it took a couple of times to start,now no matter hot or cold engine it randomley is hard to start,i had not driven it all week got into it saturday morning started right up,drove across town and back stopped for breakfast,would not start sat for half hour started right up drove home sat for two hours started right up,went uot a few minutes ago would not start,after it starts it always seems to idle fine and run fine any input greatly appreciated

It is somewhere in the fuel line. You are either getting a weak sending unit, or weak fuel pump, or need a fuel filter. Most likely your filter though.

I suspect one of your ignition components may be dieing temporarily when it won't start. My advice would be to get some sort of spark tester and keep it in the truck at all times. The next time it won't start, hook up the spark tester and see if it is firing. You may need a remote starter switch also if there is no assistant around when it won't start. This would be the easiest thing to check first. Good luck.

It could be your Fuel Preasure Regulator. Not sure if Ford uses them or not.
