hey everyone. i've had this on-going problem with my town car when the temperature drops below 50 degress at night. bascially what happens is when i first start it in the morning, it starts to blow blueish greyish smoke slightly. then i give it gas and it billows blueish greyish until it clears up and the car is fine. however, when the car is warm or its a warm day and i first start the car, it runs fine and doesn't billow any smoke. the car doesn't burn oil or leak oil. no CEL or nothing. i don't understand what's going on. help me out guys.

I think your valve seals are leaking a little oil overnight. This is a common problem on ford engines. You can purchase new umbrella seals and pressure the cylinder with air when the valves ar closed and do one cylinder at a time.
A leaking head gasket is mostly white smoke in the morning.

i replaced the valve seals already since i learned ford engines do that with my 92 crown vic. so when i got this car that was one of the first things i did. i figured out what the problem was. even though i did replaced the EGR system, i forgot to clean out the exhaust chambers. so a few days ago i did that and now i have no more problems. but thank you for the reply. believe me i found it very embarrasing when my old 92 crown vic use to billow smoke after i stopped at a red light for more than 30 seconds with how beautiful that car really was. :banghead:
