Baught a 89 325i Now what

I just purchased an 89 325i 2 door, and i want to know what i should do first to get the most performance out of it for the least amt of $$$$. My thoughts were to start with suspension and then maybe a chip... This will be my first BMW. Thanks for your comments

How much do you know about it ? I mean how much history do you have ? Before you start tuning make sure she's tip top engine-wise otherwise your asking for trouble

I know less than i thought, It has been over heating, and the "Mechanic" Says that there is nothing wrong with it, accept for a faulty guage. Well faulty guages dont make cars supurt out there coolent, so i think it is the water pump. Frustrated! But when i have gotten to drive it, it has been loads of fun!:mad:
