need help can't seem to adj valve springs

tried adj valves on 00 si.......has crower dual springs,stage 2 cams, titanium retainers, and i set it to TDC and i loosened the lock nut and turn the screw to loosen the spring and it doesn't loosen or tighten......i am in need of help please....i am wondering if the rockers and latch pads might have been put on the wrong sides?????????:banghead:

Did you loosen the jam nut? the screw goes through a nut. That nut needs to be loosened adn then the screw will turn. Once the proper clearance is set then tighten the nut so the screw won't back off.

Make sure the TDC is on the compression stroke.
If not, you're 180 degrees off and the spring is under tension.
There should be play in the rocker if you're on the compression stroke.
