Hello forum. I have 00 Taurus with the Vulcan engine, and it is time for new plugs. Before I spend the big bucks at the dealer for them, Is it possible to get a little feedback from your experiences. What is the best plugs to put in her. Any feedback will be helpful, Thanx

Stick with something similar to the OEM plugs, probably a single platinum. People have reported issues with dual platinum or 4 electrode platinum, etc. Not just on the Taurus, but on numerous other makes and models as well.

put in the motorcraft OEM plugs. Don't fool around when it comes to plugs. OEM or nothing.

A big 10-4 on that.
And remember dealer OEM parts only hurt one time.
Aftrmarket non OEM type cheap stuff can bite you in the rear many times.
Motorcraft plugs and the ones that the good book calls for.
Drop all bosch plugs in the trash can. :grinyes:

I've heard some interesting things about OEM ford plugs - they work better than alot of brands in other types of vehicles than the "good" brands. Go with Motorcraft plugs.

Is there anything wrong with Champion plugs? Never used them on my Taurus but have used them on everything for years and years.

Champion are good plugs but.
The best deal to get the right heat range and the right plug for your engine..
Champion for cry
AC delco for GM
Motorcraft for Ford.
Some racing/Hi performance aplications do better on autolight
Import NGK
Bosch in the trash can.
On a 2000 Taurus your best plugs is the OEM motorcraft.

:grinyes: :grinyes: What MT-2500 said. We tested Champion versus Motorcraft in a 1986 Crwn Vic. Champion ran for 10k miles and became sooted, Motorcraft ran for 70k. Same car used, 4 champions and 4 Motorcraft. Did same test again on 99 CV, same results.

At least they done better than some Ac delco plugs I put in a dodge one time.
The dodge did not make it over the next big hill.
The had to back down the hill and turn around and come back for a set of champion plugs.:grinyes:
