Just recently I have noticed a whistle coming from what I prosume is the engine. It sounds like a leak of air from a vaccumm or somthing. As I accelerate it gets louder. It sounds like a whistle.
Any ideas?
You guys are great on help!
Edit:
I thought the whistle I heard while the engine reeves was the same thing, it was a clogged fuel filter.
The orignal whistle as how it has been for awhile only happens while in drive. The whistle happens around 2500 rpm when accelerating.
SO in other words not in nuetrel or park.
Anyone have any ideas?

Most common cause that I can think of is an intake manifold gasket going bad. Sometimes thats one of the symptoms.

What kind of repair would that be?

Check your PCV valve and make sure all of your air intake hose clamps are good and secure.
I had this sound after I cleaned my throttle body for about a day, turned out I hadn't completely secured the clamp on the air intake near the throttle body.

are you sure? non izusu techs are known to screw up the img replacement due to revised torque specs multiple times! just because it is new doesn't mean it is good. like they say in missouri "show me"
my 2000 has had three sets before 47,000 miles. so when properly done they sometimes do not last long.
