2004 blower motor resister bad

i just put a new resister on my car and the same problem still happens the blower motor stays on after the the key is removed i believe it before the resister is the problem but not sure i drove it 2 mile and it really hot you can't touch it. it was install this morning when i started the car tonight the blower kicked on while the switch was off.

well this is a friend mine car i was trying to help him and i just called and he told after taking it to the STEALership oh i mean dealership that you need to replace both the resistor and something upstream he believe it was the doide he was out of town when it broke so his wife had it fixed so he didn't see the bill he was just told about it but i guess if you the dealership they will tell what the problem is i guess it happens pretty often the dealership he told me to call is suski's in birch run michigan
