Mustang Vs. Gtp

Hey guys i own a 2000 gtp and this guy that i work with has a 1994 mustang gt. we are thinking about racing.
Now everyone with a gtp is telling me that its an easy win. I think its because they are full of themselves or some other reason i cant explain. So i want to ask the mustang owners what they think.
Both cars are automatics my car(gtp) has a DHP PCM and thats all. Mustang with some high performance muffler. I figure cause my hp is higher he will get me off the line but then ill catch him in second gear. My car is a 4 door so he has about 130 lbs weight advantage. What do u guys think will happen?

94 isnt a great year, you should have him i would think.

You should definatly beat him, your car is atleast half a second faster then his.

I would say you would win pretty decicively. I do like 1994 mustangs though. That motor in his car just needs a little attention.

94 is an excellent year. the modern body style combined with the 5 liter motor is great. all you need to make 400 hp is a set of afr heads, trick flow intake manifold, headers, and 1.7 roller rockers.

thats bhp tho, either way its awesome. but those heads are pretty pricey.

You will win, that's one of the slower mustangs...hell pretty much any stock 94~98 GT is pretty slow when bone stock, regardless of 5.0L or 4.6L SOHC..
