dash speakers

hey the small speakers in the dash of my car are screwed upa nd i was wondering how to disconnect them i dont actually have to replace them in fact i dont want to i just want to disconnect them without removing half th dash

On 2g's, take a flat head screw driver, put a cloth around the end (so you dont scratch up your dash) and simply pry the little speakers out. Disconnect the wire harness from the bottom and problem solved.
On a 1g I think you have to unscrew a little cover. The screws are accessible by opening the door and they are on the side of the dash. Then just pry the speakers out and disconnect them.
