Personally I think that it looks pretty cool. it is done up in a tasteful way that shows-off the powerful stance of the R34 GTR. This is a great car with amazing performance; adding a few decals and big rims does nothing to detract from this. it is what is inside that counts!

Remember this is a Skyline GTR and some prefer the overstated look to the understated look that makes cars like the BMW E46 M3 and the F355 ferrari look so fragile and feminine.

Again, just my 2 cents; what makes this world great is that there are so many diverse opinions out there.

I love the signal skylines.

now am I imagining things or is that the R34 GTT not the GTR:confused:

GTR normally has 1 reverse light (clear) and 1 fog light (red) beside the liscence plate

that car not only has the look, but its got the ammo to back it up. It was in a Option video a few month ago, 400m 9 sec(400m's close to qtr miles), wails around the track as only a GTR can. Lap under a minute at Tsubaka. This is one car that's capable of putting the wing to real use. Rice or not, I bow to this car.

thanks

and the r34 on the cover is the main car in the fast and the furious 2 just some added info for those interested.

The Signal R34 GTR actually did an 8 on street tyres :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:

Rice is trying to make a (Japanese) car look like something it's not (a race car). This is a race car, and a damn fast one, so it is definitely NOT rice.

8 on street tires, do not believe everything you read. The fastest skyline is in the low 7s, even if it street tires your not going to come close to the 8's. I am talking street tires, remember.

As I remember it, Veilside held the record for fastest 4wd on street tires in an R32 at 8.747. and HKS had the Drag Slicks record with 7.671 at 181.98 mph in an R33.

hey, someone actually reads Super Street!!:D I usually stay away from those rags, but I happen to see it at the bookstore with the car featured. Yes, the stats are correct, I dug up the video having entered the post. Sure enough, its the same stats. Its Options Video no.91 for anyone that's interest. It came out late '01, you might still be able to order it. In the vid, Yamada actually drove it around Tsubaka with the muffler hangin!!

There not true street tires in the sense of the word. That is what I am getting at. Nope, still have to claim shananagans:D

I'll claim shananagans on your shananagans! ;) Street tires are tires that you can drive on the street with out getting a ticket when the five oh pulls you over. Street legal tires.

dw1784: Yea I had to buy it, I saw Craig Asshole's GTR purging on the cover and saw that it promised other articles about Skylines, and it was a thick mag, so I had to buy it :D

SkylineUSA

Gonthrax,

You can't do that. Just throw shananagans around like that without any just cause. I have sober children in china go to prison for less crimes than that:rolleyes:

As my daughter would say, "WHATEVER" \/\/

Have to agree with Gonthrax; they are street-legal tyres. - And they are very different from drag slicks if you look at them side by side. And anyway, they're street-legal, therefore, they are street tyres, by definition.

The Signal R34 GTR pulled an 8.9 on street tyres, and Signal decided they wouldn't drag it any more, but would go for circuit instead.

One has to wonder why they would decide somthing like that... After running an 8.9, I'd say "ok guys, lets see if we can get 8.5"
Oh well, I guess circuit is more fun :D

Well, that was according to the High performance Imports video (I forget which number); so it could be complete bollocks. They were showing it at the Tokyo Autosalon, where it was sitting with a very proud card in the window with their 8 sec time. :D

Gonthrax,

Thats an easy question, they are limited not by power, but traction:D

Moondog,

Do you have the 60ft times on that 8.9 run?

By the way, I've just noticed somthing in your sig. Why do you have 245/45s on the front and 255/40s in back, I always thought one would do it the the other way 'round. With lower profiles in front and higher in rear for traction

that guy must be on crack. as soon as i saw that skyline i knew that it was Signal Auto's street spec skyline. with over 750hp at the wheels and the last time i saw about it it runs 11's on the 1/4 mile on street tires. but i guess its gotten even more monsterious.

Are those the factory rims, if so you plan on changing them out?

TatII
10-05-2002, 07:51 PM
thanks. those are factory rims. i'm gonna probrably change them for a set of decent weight 17 inch rims. the design will be a gun metal 6 spoke with a silver lip with bolt patterns. anything that looks mean!! cause thats what nissans are known to look like. mean!
